How we’re structurally different

Why Local Knowledge

This page is factual, not promotional. Every row is grounded in public evidence — CPA Australia membership records, IP Australia trade-mark files, award finalist lists, and the Asian Masters Fund prospectus. We describe our own position. We describe a typical suburban practice generically — no competitor is named or compared by name.

Accountability

Principal sign-off

Local Knowledge

Graham Chee FCPA personally signs every return and every piece of written advice that leaves this practice. There is no junior-staff tax desk — the person reviewing your file is the person engaging with the ATO on it.

Typical suburban firm

Sign-off is spread across multiple tax agents and junior preparers. Partner review is typically triggered only when a file is flagged as high-risk or above a dollar threshold.

Evidence: Single-principal FCPA practice — same signatory since 2003 (Local Knowledge founded).
Experience depth

CPA Australia tenure

Local Knowledge

Continuous CPA Australia member since 1986. Advanced to Fellow (FCPA) in November 2005 — a status reserved for CPAs with at least 15 years of senior experience and documented contribution to the profession. 40 years continuous membership in 2026.

Typical suburban firm

Principal tenure is typically 5–15 years post-qualification. Fellowship (FCPA) status is considerably less common — most suburban practices are staffed by CPAs or CAs without Fellowship.

Evidence: CPA Australia membership record — admitted 1986, Fellowship conferred November 2005.

Typical suburban firm

Evidence: Asian Masters Fund track record; AFSL register (Global Mutual Funds Pty Ltd).
Extended capability
